On Pentecost Sunday, 31 May 2015, His Grace Bishop MACARIE (Macarius) of the Romanian Orthodox Church together with a group of priests and deacons celebrated the Divine Liturgy and the Service of Kneeling Prayers at a Romanian parish in Copenhagen, Denmark. On this occasion, Jon Gissel, a Danish professor of Byzantine History at the University of Copenhagen, was received into the Orthodox Church by Holy Baptism, after nearly three years of spiritual catechism.
