"Be quick to listen, slow to speak." (James 1:19)

This admonishment is actually a very good discipline to follow. Far too often we would rather talk and express our opinions rather than listen to others have to say. In fact, one might even say that listening has become a kind of "lost art." Yet those who take the time to listen and refrain from offering opinions until they fully comprehend the situation, are most wise!
