We must love our God, first of all, by a sense of our duty, by a sense of our dependence on Him, because God is our Creator, He created us, He granted us everything that we have. Our life and all the objects around us, with which our life is supported, are all for us nothing but God's gift. We owe God all the air we breathe, every drop of water we drink, every piece of bread we eat, in a word, everything that we have and that serves our benefit. We owe God our health, all sorts of joy, all kind thoughts, every pious feeling and disposition, every noble deed, every comfort felt in unhappiness - in a word, we owe God absolutely everything. God is love, the best Father, the source of all blessings. - Archimandrite Cyril (Pavlov)
