After our Lord healed the leprose man, He instructed him to “tell no one." (Luke 5:14)

Jesus’ purpose, His ministry, was NOT to be a doctor, nor was it to cure everyone of their ailments. Thus, He didn’t want to become a traveling miracle sideshow to amaze and overwhelm the multitudes. That is why He often asked those whom He healed to “say nothing" to anyone about their healing and even went to great lengths to withdraw from the crowds so that He might remain focused on the real intent of His mission which would culminate in His Saving Passon.
