“So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth.” (Luke 4:22)
“So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth.” (Luke 4:22)
The Hebrew definition of gracious words means “merciful, compassionate, or soft hearted.” Simply put, they are grace-filled, gentle words which seek to comfort and bring healing. King Solomon may have described them best as, “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24)
Fr. John
