In today's gospel Jesus tells us that if we have faith – albeit the size of a mustard seed – nothing will be impossible to us. With such a faith, we could even "move mountains." In essence, Jesus is reminding us that there is no obstacle or difficulty bigger than God. He is bigger than any temptation, any sin, any failure; any problem. When we willingly place our lives in His hands, via a personal act of faith, He gives us the power to become bigger than we ever dreamed we could be: bigger than an illness, bigger than our weaknesses (physical, emotional, and spiritual), bigger than our hatred, bigger than our prejudices; even bigger than our defeats. With Christ nothing can intimidate us or try and control our lives because nothing is bigger or greater than God.
