The martyric
spirit must be brought up in every person, whether or not he is being martyred
by someone for his faith in Christ.
If there is
no martyric spirit in a person, he simply cannot be a Christian.
This martyric
spirit manifests itself in every word, in every action, in every step - and
these things teach a person the love of the Incarnate God.
Without these
things, without the sacrificial life - when nothing has any meaning without
Christ.... without all this, without this kind of attitude, one isn’t able to
learn to love Christ.
And if a
person learns to love Christ, if he strives toward the love of Christ, then
there is no force that can separate us from this love.
You remember
the amazing words of Apostle Paul: “Who shall separate us from the love of
Christ?” and then he lists everything that can possibly be listed, including
the earthly life and the earthly death.

Theodore Gignadze
