“[Jesus] said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand’.” (Luke 6:10)

By asking the man with the withered hand to extend it so our Lord could heal it, Jesus was symbolically asking the man to put his trust Him by putting his useless hand into the hands of the Savior. Thus, the basis to the 1971 song by the Canadian Christian rock band, Ocean: "Put your hand in the hand of the Man from Galilee."
