Then, when we grow old and look back on our entire life, the path that God’s grace followed in our hearts will become apparent. Saint Luke, Archbishop of Crimea.
Then, when we grow old and look back on our entire life, the path that God’s grace followed in our hearts will become apparent.
We recall the events of our lives, our thoughts and feelings.
We see them in a different light and our minds are illuminated and we begin to understand the ways of God.
It becomes clear to us that the thoughts, the pursuits, the actions and the events of our lives, which we considered insignificant, were all directed by Divine Providence.
We will understand that throughout our lives God has been leading us, leading us in a miraculous way to His Kingdom.
Thus the Kingdom of Heaven is revealed in our hearts.
God reveals it within us.
Let us be attentive to what is happening in our lives, and most of all let us be careful not to murmur against God.
Let us endure sorrows and sufferings with murmuring, for with them the Kingdom of God is built within our hearts.
Let us always thank God for everything, both the pleasant and the unpleasant events of our lives. Amen.
