In the Greek Orthodox monastery of St. Spyridon of Tremithus, located in the Christian quarter of Jerusalem (in the old city, near the Damascus Gate), an icon with a belt image of St. Spyridon, measuring 70 x 50 cm., painted at the end of the XIX century. and restored about 50 years ago.
On June 2, 1994, it miraculously appeared on the window glass. But this miracle happened like that.

Hieromonk Sofroniy, who at that time was the rector of this monastery, became very ill. And he already wanted to call on his spiritual children to say goodbye to them. Suddenly, St. Spyridon appeared to him and said that now he would not die, he would live for several years. And with these words comes out - not at the door, but at the window.
The disease receded, and Hieromonk Sofroniy served in the monastery for about ten years, until his hour arrived - now he had already departed to the Lord. After some time, after a wonderful visit, Hieromonk Sofroniy noticed that the window became cloudy. I looked closely, and Saint Spyridon was imprinted on the window pane!

You can see the cap, the vestments - everything is absolutely the same as on the icon. So this print on the glass remained. Now it is stored in a special icon case as a great shrine. The marvelous image is maroon velvet. The face is best seen when looking at the glass at an angle of about 30 degrees.
