Without Faith, purpose in life, and a definitive moral compass, man reverts to immaturity and selfishness with only one goal: pleasure. With such a perspective, man turns the world into a gigantic marketplace, where everything from food to fashion, sports to sex, is packaged for his immediate consumption and enjoyment; and the freedoms we were meant to enjoy, are simply viewed as entitlements.
Make no mistake, the Devil is smart and cunning. Tyrannies of the past often ruled by inflicting pain and punishment, but in our Brave New World, Satan controls us by inflicting “pleasure.”
