THIS WORLD
Christ
is born, glorify Him. Christ is come
from heaven receive Him. Christ is on earth: be exalted. All the earth sings to the Lord, and all the
people, praise Him in joy, for He has been glorified. (A Christmas hymn of our Church)

COMMENTARY OF ST. PORPHYRIOS
GOD’S
ENCOUNER WITH MANKIND
Adam having been exiled from paradise, our Brother
now comes to our humble cave bringing with him divine Grace and Love.
The
Father, through His Son restores to us the community of love, which is an event
that is greater than all other events that have ever happened in the universe.
Let
us therefore accept with thanksgiving our unique Visitor. Let us rejoice in this visit and thank Him
for bringing us His message that our Father truly loves us.
What
is more important than this?
What
is greater than this?
We
can now forgive one another because only with a forgiving heart can we truly
welcome the greatest of Visitors of all time who will now dwell with us for all
eternity.
