“trinity”

The efforts of our spiritual life can be divided into a kind of “trinity” which leads us towards salvation: Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving. By prayer we manifest our love for God; with alms we manifest our love for our neighbor; and by fasting we fight all our passions and sinful inclinations.
