“Making mention of you in our prayers…” (1 Thess. 1:2)
During Divine Liturgy and other services, we routinely pray for our hierarchs, civil leaders, members of the Armed Forces, as well as parishioners, relatives, and kinfolk, both living and deceased, mentioning them by name.
In our own daily prayer rule, we too should pray for our family and friends and those individuals in need of prayer. Obviously, everyone could use prayers, but for the sake of time and economy, we might need to curtail these names to those in imminent situations regarding health or safety.
However, as you mention those by name, take a moment to pray for those who have no one else to pray for them.
