Much like the biblical account of how God revealed Himself to Elijah upon Mount Tabor in a “still, small voice” (1st Kings 19:11-13), our faith is not experienced in the spectacular, but the routine. It is found in the day-to-day struggles and drudgery of continuously taking up our cross and carrying it, step by step, as did Jesus on His fateful journey to Golgotha. It is won by faithfully saying your daily prayers, fasting, reading Holy Scripture, and attending services regularly and consistently. It is found in making God THE priority of your life and placing Him above all else, centering your life around His Gospel teachings. True faith is found in being compassionate, merciful, forgiving, and loving. In other words, our faith is found in being like God.
