Near the conclusion of St. Paul’s letter to the Colossians, he writes, “Remember my chains” (Col. 4:18) 

Just as the Apostles and Early Church suffered persecution, so has the Church through all ages. Persecution of Christians is real and will forever be a constant test. Christians all round the world will inevitably suffer for their Faith and beliefs. They will endure intimidation, threats (physical and economic), discrimination, violence…even death. Yet just as these persecutions grow, so does the gospel; because when someone witnesses for their faith, it inspires others, becoming contagious and igniting their hearts to stand fast as well.
