“The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low.” (Isaiah 2:17)
Pride is the cancerous gene of every sin known to man. From it stems an attitude of arrogance and belief that, “all of man’s ways seem innocent to him” (Proverbs 16:2). Therefore, with such a prideful mindset, man fails to see himself as sinful and/or recognize his fault. This, then, is the epitome of foolishness and the depth of insanity which only prepares us for a great fall from grace.
