“That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea.” (St. Matthew 13:1)

Just as Jesus took time to relax and enjoy a moment of tranquil serenity, so should we. Activity is good, but we also need time to rest, reflect, and regenerate ourselves. Sitting quietly and enjoying God’s creation is a great way to “be still and know God” (Psalm 46:10).
