"Father, forgive them..." (Luke 23:34)

Suffering and dying upon the cross was the apex of Christ's love for us...but a close second would have to be when He uttered these words, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Because amidst all his physical pain and mental anguish, this simple, unselfish prayer was spoken from the heart of a Man Who was concerned for those whose lives were in greater peril than His Own!
