HAPPY ATHONIAN DAYS
May the good Christ grant us and all creation a most glorious day.
And while He orders His twelve disciples to flee to a deserted place to rest a little, they do not manage to hide from the world that is chasing them there by the thousands.
And what does Christ do then? Does He drive them away as troublesome? No. But He continues to minister to them there with His word and miracles.
And when the day passes and dusk comes, He gives them some of their own food to satisfy themselves.
But what food did the 12 disciples and one Lord take with them, 13?
With five loaves and two fish, they would have made it, thirteen people, for several days in the wilderness.
While we, two days before going on vacation, carry all of Venice with us and a supermarket in our arms.
How simple the Saints are!
