“Jesus said, ‘O faithless and perverse generation, how long must I be with you? How long shall I put up with you?’” (Matthew 17:17)

In the above verse, one can sense the exasperation Christ is feeling with both His disciples and the people. It must have been difficult and frustrating for Jesus to preach and teach and yet have His words misunderstood, twisted, and even questioned. And if this happened in that generation which was literally in the presence of God, imagine how much more faithless and perverse we have become since that time?
