Today's Sermon in a Nutshell:
There once was a man on a business trip who overslept and had to quickly pack and race to the airport. He ran through the hotel lobby and out the doors in hopes of hailing a cab, but as he did, his suitcase knocked into a stand of an old woman selling produce. As fruits and vegetables flew everywhere, the man said that he was sorry and started to climb into the taxi. But as he looked back and saw the woman crawling around trying to collect everything, he realized that she was blind. Feeling remorse, the man got out of the taxi and began helping the poor woman who was terribly distressed and sobbing.
When he had picked up everything and put it back onto the cart, he tried to console the woman. As he did, she reached out and touched him saying, “Are you Jesus?” The man answered, “No…why do you ask?”
The woman replied, “Because when my stand was tipping over, I prayed to Jesus for help.”
This begs the question: when was the last time you were mistaken for Jesus???
