"Serve the Lord without distraction." (First Corinthians 7:35)
For Christians, the call to avoid distractions is a recurring theme throughout the Bible. This is because distractions divert our focus and attention away from God, and perhaps the greatest distraction today is our addiction to social media. We cannot stop the constant obsession to check on news, sports results, e-mails, on-line chats, Tik Tok, texting, and every new APP that are created daily. Ironically, social media has even prevented us from actually being "social" in the company of others.
Learn to discipline yourself and abstain from the constant desire to be on-line by aligning yourself more with Christ.
