Christ has Ascended!
He has Ascended in Glory!
According to the Scriptures, it is obvious that Jesus’s Ascension was a literal, bodily return to Heaven. He rose from the ground gradually and visibly, and was observed by many onlookers as He ascended and then disappeared into the clouds – returning to whence He came.
This event signaled the culmination of Jesus’ earthly ministry. God the Father had lovingly sent His Son into the world at Bethlehem, and now the Son was returning to the Father, glorified in the glory He had prior to becoming a man. He had completed all that He came to do according to His Father’s will.
In addition, Jesus’ return to Heaven also “seals” His promise that He was going ahead of us to prepare a place for us!
