“At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descends as divine fire, uniting heaven and earth in the heart of the Church.
This event is the crowning fulfillment of Christ’s work, for through the Spirit, the apostles are transformed from fearful men into bold witnesses, and all humanity is invited into communion with God.
The Holy Spirit is the breath of the Church, sanctifying and guiding her in truth, bestowing unity and diversity of gifts.
Pentecost is not merely a historical event, but a continuous reality: the Spirit remains ever-present, renewing creation and drawing each believer into the life of the Holy Trinity.
Thus, the Church becomes the living body of Christ, animated by the Spirit, called to manifest divine love in the world.
In Pentecost, we see the mystery of deification - the ascent of man to God through the descent of God to man.”
