In today's gospel we hear the parable of the Rich Fool: a man who was greatly blessed with crops and wealth, but choose to hoard his blessings rather than share them with others; especially those less fortunate.
The following quote by St. Seraphim Vyritskiy gives us pause to reflect upon our own status in life...and the many blessings we have amassed by the grace of Almighty God:
“How will it look when you stand before Almighty God at your judgment, knowing you left behind money that was never used for God’s glory or given to the poor? Learn how to give freely in this life and you will never become a prisoner of your wealth; will never be tempted to keep or hang on to it. Furthermore, God will reward your generous spirit!" – St. Seraphim Vyritskiy
