All meetings are planned story: From the memoirs of a resident of Kronstadt Olga Malchenko.

I came to the father (Righteous John Kronstadt) with two parishioners. One of them was, you see, a rich lady, the other lady was poor and poorly dressed. Both, when he went out to meet them, fell on their knees, and both extended their envelopes to him.
The father took the envelopes in each of his hand, held them a little, and then crossed his hands, gave them the other persons envelope.
The rich lady immediately cried out: "Father, what did you do, there are three thousand (rubles) in that envelope, it was for you!" Father said: "If it was for me, what do you care what I do with it? Besides, you know I don't need anything. You better look at what you have in the envelope... "and in that envelope was the letter of the son of the woman next to her, where he wrote that because of a miscalculation, his stay (he stayed in a state institution) was in jeopardy and, if he does not get three thousand rubles, he will have no choice but to commit suicide. In the letter he asked his mother to save him.

When she read the letter, father told her, "You see, you saved his soul! How blessed you are! "
