SAINT SERAPHIM'S PRAYER STOOL
It is known that the Monk Seraphim of Sarov departed to the Lord kneeling in prayer and folding his arms crosswise on his chest. There was always a low wooden stool in front of him in his cell. It served as an lectern for him during prayer and was made with his own hands without a single nail! And now this stool has been preserved. It stands under glass in the recreated cell of the venerable father in the house of Blessed Pasha Ivanovna of Sarov on the territory of the Seraphim-Diveyevo Monastery.
