Saint Gabriel the Georgian, November 2

 During the communist period, many Georgians had lost their reverence for the holy icons and were afraid to keep them in their homes. That's why they threw them away. Father Gabriel spent hours rummaging through the garbage to save at least some of them. Then he repaired their wooden frames, cleaned them and hung them in the church.

 

 If we love the saints, let us imitate them (Blessed Augustine)
