On Mount Athos where I was for so many years, there in our monastery the Holy Belt of the Virgin Mary was treasured and I had the duty every time we had visitors to the monastery, pilgrims, to bring the Holy Belt of the Virgin Mary into the center of the temple so that the pilgrims could worship.
And so many times we saw this Grace of the Virgin Mary so intense in this Mother of God relic. A multitude of miracles, a multitude of signs. A powerful energy of Grace which was diffused to each one who came to worship. And that ineffable fragrance, the permanent ineffable fragrance, of our Virgin Mary which was often accompanied by myrrh-bearing, gushed forth myrrh, before our eyes, into our hands!
Many people may have had a doubt, but we, who knew what we were holding and how we carried it, were eyewitnesses to this miraculous event of the Virgin Mary!
