“One evening, Fr. Vissarion found himself in a house in Lamia. There he asked for some rice to be boiled for him, because he was feeling discomfort in his stomach. The rice was salted by both the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law while it was being boiled. When they realized the mistake, they began to argue about the double salting. Fr. Vissarion Agathonitis, who heard the quarrel of the two women, in order to calm them down, asked for the salt shaker to be given to him, so that he could add salt to his food, pretending that he ate salty food!
