Saint Vissarion Agathonites “every Monday and Tuesday went to the hospitals of Lamia. From bed to bed, he saw all the sick, comforting, confessing, helping and healing. I say healing because he once told us how in the hospital of Lamia he met a seriously ill man with advanced cancer, almost in his last days. I went to him, he told us, and sat next to him.

I confessed him and went and brought him Holy Communion. He stood up, made the sign of the cross crying and took communion. My children, this man got well! Completely well and went home healthy”
