“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

Basically, this verse means that one’s faith, their Christian belief system, is dependent upon hearing, listening, and adhering to the Holy Gospel: the “Word of God.”

The gospels not only plant God’s seed of faith within us, they also water, nourishe, and cause it to grow, blossom, and bear fruit. Thus, reading the Scriptures should be a daily event in the life of anyone who truly wishes to follow Christ.
