Feast of the Transfiguration

The Transfiguration of our Lord upon Mount Tabor was meant to convey to the “inner circle” of Jesus’ disciples that He was, indeed, Who He said he was: the Christ. By allowing them to see Him and behold His glory, this solidified not only all that Jesus had spoken, but it bore witness to the fact that He was indeed the Messiah, the fulfillment of the promise and prophecies of the Old Testament.
