„A word that Father Sophrony said to a soul in search of prayer:
An Anglican lady was on the verge of abandoning prayer and God, because, when she asked several people, "How can I find prayer?", she received only stereotypical answers. Hearing about a certain Archimandrite Sophrony from France, she sought him out and asked him the same question. Father Sophrony replied: 'With God, there is no need to be polite. Pour out before the Lord what is in your heart, just as it is'. And she found such powerful prayer that, according to Father Sophrony, she prayed for hours with her head bowed to the ground. This is no small thing for a Westerner. That lady is now Orthodox for a long time."
