“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:18)
For Christians, fearing God means having reverence, awe, humility, and respect for Him. Understanding that He is “great,” and we are not. He is the Creator and we are His creation.
Sadly, much of the world has lost (or abandoned) any fear of God, and when there is no fear of God, there is no fear of a final Judgment; and when there is no fear of that dread Day of the Second Coming, man does not care whether he sins or not because he fears no consequences to his actions. Having no fear of God begins a downward spiral sucking one directly towards Hell.
