“…there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:11)
In talking about the end times Jesus illiterates on all that will take place prior to that point. And looking at the terrorist activities, the warring countries, the flooding in the Middle East, the wildfires in California, its easy to think that these times are near.
Regardless, just as each day we live we come closer to our repose, so too does the world. And though we cannot predict when Christ will make His Second Coming, our responsibility…our role as faithful, believing, practicing Christians is to simply “fulfill our ministry” by being who we are. Doing what we are expected to do.
Living the life Christ’s asks us to live through our baptism. Adhering to the Commandments. Striving to fulfill our purpose. And above all, loving and serving those around us as Christ has done for us.
If we do this, we need not fear the “end of times,” because then, it will simply be the beginning of a New Life in the Kingdom of God.
