In this world, we often equate value with grand gestures, but rewards in the Kingdom of Heaven are not measured by such worldly standards. And in God’s eyes, no act of love is ever too small to hold significant value.

Offering a thirsty person might appear small and insignificant, until you are that thirsting person in need of refreshment. Thus, Jesus uses this basic example to illustrate the fact that every act of love, no matter how small, carries eternal weight when it is performed in Jesus’ Name.
